CEO

Alex is the Chief Executive Officer of SurvivorsUK. He has almost eight years as a CEO in the third sector, has developed innovative services supporting marginalised people in a criminal justice context, and has also worked as a political advisor.

His most recent role was as CEO of RightsInfo, a charity which promotes human rights in the UK and prior to that he worked as a senior adviser to Ed Miliband.

Previously, he was the founding CEO of National Ugly Mugs (NUM), which supports sex workers throughout the UK when they become victims of crime. He was a consultant trainer on the Advanced ISVA Development Programme and has been published as a practitioner criminologist in academic publications. Under his leadership NUM won a range of awards including the Third Sector Award for “Big Impact” and the Guardian Charity Award.
